Woke up to misty drizzles this morning. It looks like it's going to stay pretty cool today with no wind to speak of. I had a long sit down for breakfast going over some emails and such and then pulled up to the marina to snipe off their WIFI to send and receive. Decided to go over the charts one more time as the depths start getting pretty shallow in places and I want to keep an eye on the C & D Canal conditions

I decided to anchor out on the Sassafrass River near Georgetown close the Bay instead of motoring all the way up the river to Georgetown. That ended up cutting 5 miles off the end of today and the start of tomorrow. So that means I really only have about 30 miles to go tomorrow which will get me through the C & D with plenty of time to spare. If I take off right at dawn, I can hit the last of the current coming from the East and then as it switches to flowing from the west, I will have a nice tail current for most of the way. That should leave me plenty of time to navigate out into the Delaware Bay and find anchorage before the tides get to going full bore in the other direction.

I spent the extra time from an early arrival today redoing some varnish that had worn on some wood in the galley, and getting some more waxing done topside. This little craft is looking really sharp with all of the little things I've been doing. Once I get back down and pick up the mast, I'm going to pull it and get the bottom all redone and make sure all the winches and halyards are in tip top shape. I'm hoping if all goes well to begin a trek out into blue water and do some Caribbean island hopping. It'll be fun to get some wind in the sails and see how it handles on the open ocean. These Snowgoose have probably made more ocean crossings that any other brand of boat. That's part of the reason I bought this one. Used as it was, it was in pretty good shape for the money and with the TLC I've been giving it, it's really starting to sparkle.

Good night to all the loves of my life, may the Lord be blessing you in all you do.
